Street Tree Planter - Seasonal

Start Date: 10/7/2024  Compensation: $250/day

NYC Tree Pit Services is seeking seasonal help for street tree planting for 8 weeks every Wednesday and Thursday in October and November. Hours are 8:30-3:00.  Possible extension into mid-December, if desired.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Truck loading / unloading
• Excavation
• Light use of power tools
• Transport and placement of large trees
• Weeding, mulching, watering
• Clean up

Job training will be provided

Qualifications/Requirements

• Reliable - able to get to job sites on time and ready to work
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs with care in handling
• Self transportation to job sites in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan including some days in Far Rockaway and Bath Beach
• Mature, team player. Respectful to others.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures

• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must consent to background check
