NYC Parks is the steward of over 30,000 acres of land — 14 percent of New York City — including more than 5,000 individual properties ranging from Coney Island Beach and Central Park to community gardens and Greenstreets. We look after 600,000 street trees, and two million more in parks.
NYC Parks Tree Time was founded in 1994 to help protect, preserve, and restore NYC’s urban forest. Tree Time has
focused on projects ranging from the development of Park and Neighborhood management plans, to publishing New York City centric tree publications to the installation of trees and tree guards. Since 2012, Tree Time has been focused on developing service- based donations to fund tree protection, preservation and care. The vision of Tree Time is that all NYC trees receive a platinum level of care, that all citizens are engaged in the care of the urban forest, and professional expertise is leveraged to the greatest extent to transform NYC into a model urban forest.
Perks - Earn vacation and sick leave every month and receive free membership to our recreation centers.
