Start Date: Immediately  Compensation: $25-$28

We are looking for a lead maintenance gardener to support our maintenance team through the end of the year. We are looking for someone with solid horticultural knowledge and experience. The right candidate could be asked on for a permanent position with the team in 2025.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Perform maintenance tasks such as pruning mulching, raking, weeding, watering, and irrigation upkeep
• Document visit information and follow up with issues as they arise
• Drive cargo van to and from visits
• Plant attractive annual displays with materials given
• Apply non-toxic treatments for disease and pests
• Apply fall/winter horticultural techniques during  garden closings

Qualifications/Requirements

• Professional gardening experience in maintenance and planting
• Stellar plant identification and care knowledge
• Ability to identify disease and pests, and come up with next steps in treatment
• Ability to handle customer service, excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Team player attitude and willingness to collaborate on all tasks to maintain garden to the highest standards
