Rooftop Garden & Amenities Assistant (Seasonal, Part-Time)

Compensation: $22/hr

Schedule & Commitment:

  • Seasonal part-time position (May/June through September)
  • Approx. 10–15 hours per week, with weekend and evening availability preferred
  • Some flexible hours during the early phase of the project setup

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist with the initial setup and organization of the rooftop garden area, including cleaning, clearing out unused materials, and preparing garden beds or pots for resident use
  • Provide plant care guidance and horticultural support to residents throughout the season
  • Maintain the rooftop garden space: watering, weeding, organizing supplies, and general upkeep
  • Supervise the rooftop space during assigned hours to ensure a welcoming, clean, and safe environment
  • Occasionally assist residents with rooftop amenities such as lighting outdoor grills
  • Work closely with the amenities and events team on garden-related events or workshops

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Gardening or horticultural experience required
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude
  • Friendly, helpful demeanor with solid communication skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors in warm weather
  • Dependable and able to work independently
  • Bonus: Experience with community projects, hospitality, or events
