Compensation: $27-$35/hr

Our specialized offerings include comprehensive garden maintenance, seasonal plantings, and custom design services for small to medium-sized gardens. Committed to sustainable practices, we prioritize organic gardening techniques, incorporate native plant species, and design landscapes that serve as vibrant habitats for local birds and essential pollinators.
Flexible/Part-Time Freelance Gardener position available for maintenance and installation of gardens. Looking for someone fun, responsible and has a love for gardening! Hourly rate commensurate with experience $27-35/hr
Responsibilities/Duties
- Garden maintenance: pruning, training, weeding, shaping, fertilizing, mulching, general tidying, etc
- Assist with installations of new landscape elements such as plants, soil and drainage, planters, irrigation and lighting systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and maintaining cleanliness of each project site
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients
- Keep records of visits and alert supervisor of issues with plants and garden when working independently
- Maintain tools and equipment
Qualifications/Requirements
- Flexible/Part-Time Freelance Schedule
- 1+ year(s) of horticultural experience
- Dependable, punctual, motivated, positive attitude and have a love for gardening!
- Good working knowledge of local plant material
- Familiarity of pest management and troubleshooting plant health or other garden issues
- Ability to follow instructions and to take initiative
- Comfortable with using garden hand tools and some basic power tools
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs and willing to work in inclement weather
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive in NYC if needed
