Start Date: ASAP  Compensation: $30-$36/hr

Parker Meadows is a Brooklyn based ecological horticulture company providing design, installation, and maintenance. 

We are looking to hire an experienced lead gardener to supervise our small horticulture team in daily tasks and work closely with the owner to help manage the overall to-do list. This position will involve performing seasonal garden maintenance & installations, interior house plant maintenance, and additional behind the scenes work of annotated research, purchasing supplies, and organizing work spaces.

Position starts March 2025 (ASAP) to the beginning of December 2025 with potential for winter work. Hourly wage starts at $30-36 (depending on experience) with a monthly travel stipend and potential for a paid ecology study. Position is 3-4 days a week.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 3+ years experience in horticulture – rooftop, backyard and urban environments
• Good working knowledge of plant culture and seasonal maintenance techniques
• Punctuality is a must
• Irrigation system basics
• Attention to detail and a meticulous sense of organization/cleanliness
• A team player demonstrating a friendly and respectful demeanor with coworkers and clients
• Ability to take direction, as well as offer direction to other team members
• Able to lift 50 lbs and willing to work in all kinds of weather
• Driving and parking a van throughout Brooklyn and occasionally Manhattan
