Join Our Team – Part-Time Independent Contractor

Nesi Brown Design is a boutique landscape design firm in Manhattan, looking for a few creative, friendly, and hardworking gardeners to help us install and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. This is a part-time, independent contractor position (3-4 days per week).

Responsibilities/Duties

• Be punctual, professional, and respectful of clients’ homes.
• Install and care for gardens on rooftops, terraces, and private yards with a focus on high-end design.
• Bring planting designs to life with minimal direction—your creative touch is key!
• Handle garden maintenance, including pruning, fertilizing, weeding, deadheading, and ensuring gardens stay pristine.
• Manage physical tasks heavy lifting  during installations (50 lbs)

Qualifications/Requirements

• 2+ years of gardening experience or strong horticulture/landscape knowledge (willing to train the right person).
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Creative background in floral or design to implement planting plans.
• Understanding of luxury gardens and high-end design standards.
• Comfort with physical demands, including lifting and maintenance tasks.
• Positive attitude—we’re a fun, supportive team and need someone who shares that energy!
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Knowledge of drip irrigation is a plus.
