 Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000

Perennial Gardens, a high end garden center that has been in business since 1948 by same family (3rd generation) is seeking a hands on management of trees and shrubs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and gardening, along with strong knowledge of trees and shrubs.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Manage day to day operations of the garden center, including inventory management, sales and customer service.
• Ability to buy plants and stay on top of trends in our industry.
• Utilize POS systems for transactions.
• Be aware of what customers' needs are.
• Provide expert advice on gardening, lawn care, and plant care to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing garden center environment.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Proven experience in retail sales or a similar role within the garden or horticulture industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of trees & shrubs, plant care, gardening techniques, and horticulture.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
