Floral Harvester

(Paid Opportunities) Return to Paid Opportunities

Compensation: $19/hour+, DOE

Harvesters are Full or Part-Time, seasonal positions from March through November, with the possibility of part-time, non-harvest work in the winter and low-sales months. Their role during these months is to harvest and pack out as many cut-flower bunches as possible while ensuring high quality standards.

Harvesters execute the harvesting, processing and packing out of our cut-flower products from greenhouses, perennial fields, and annual and biennial fields. They work independently at times, and frequently with a team of up to eight harvesters in our busiest months. Harvesting occurs in all weather conditions (excluding unsafe conditions), and is a physically challenging job.

Because we grow hundreds of varieties of cut-flowers all season long, harvesters require training, an eye for detail, and stamina.
Harvesters are sometimes asked to jump in on other team activities at the farm, which may include transplanting, weeding, and more.

*Note: as a cut-flower farm, we sometimes encounter bees. Candidates with known bee allergies may want to take this important fact into consideration.

  • Organize cold storage area for deliveries
  • Process harvested stems and pack out orders
  • Keep an organized and clean processing area
