Start Date: ASAP  Compensation: $25- $40 /per hour

The Fine Gardening Supervisor will work with the bed maintenance and seasonal color installation crews.  As well as collaborating with the Maintenance Manager and design team to help properties achieve the intended aesthetic goals.

Responsibilities/Duties

This is a hands on job that will require you to perform, oversee and teach crew members both verbally and by example fine gardening skills. You will be in the field at several properties per day with multiple crews, which you will supervise, direct and advise while working alongside.

Additional responsibilities will be working with the Seasonal Color Program for containers, bedding annuals and holiday decorations.

Qualifications/Requirements

• The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish and English), is comfortable regularly communicating with both staff and customers.
• The position Requires a valid CT driver license, is dependable, reliable and responsible .
• Candidates should have strong working knowledge and be skilled in the care of annuals, bulbs, and perennials (deadheading, staking, dividing, cut backs, and tying) as well as weed and pest identification, and a working knowledge of pruning and care of ornamental trees and shrubs.
• Ideal candidates would also have experience with container plantings as well as seasonal and holiday décor.

Additional Information

• A Full-time position, with 8 hour day, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and some Saturdays (as make up for rain days or seasonal demand). 
  A typical day starts at 8 am and ends at 4:30pm or later depending on seasonal demands. 
  The work is in person and based out of Fairfield, CT. 
  The pay range for this position is $25-40 per hour, additional benefits include health Insurance and 401K.
