Start Date: Immediately  Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 per year

VERDANT is a boutique landscape design firm founded in 2001 and headquartered in the Gowanus district in Brooklyn. Our clients range from high end residential gardens throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn to boutique hotels and corporate headquarters. Our projects continually challenge conventional design and dynamically integrate landscape and architecture.
We are in search of a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Operations Coordinator to join our company. We are seeking a professional accustomed to working in a design, construction or production related field in New York City, although candidates with other industry experience are encouraged to apply. Our ideal candidate will have strong organizational, scheduling and coordination skills, and enthusiasm for working with a dynamic and creative team. A primary responsibility of this position is the daily coordination and communication of our field and office schedule. This position will be an integral team member and will regularly communicate with staff and clients. 

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Generating and distributing daily schedule to field staff and confirming site access with clients
  • Trouble shooting access and coordination with field staff, available when needed
  • Managing maintenance contracts and tracking visits
  • Coordinating with project managers and installation teams to meet project deadlines
  • Prioritizing efficiency and productivity within field team
  • Facilitating Zoom meetings with office team
  • Generating invoices & tracking payments
  • Placing orders for tools, hard goods, other materials & supplies

This position includes office administrative duties, such as:

  • Answering calls and fielding general office inquiries 
  • Maintaining an organized office space
  • Bringing in mail and depositing checks
  • Event planning

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative or operational role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort in managing relationships with high-end clientele, as well as with team members within the company
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Fluency with databases (such as Dropbox and Google Drive) and with scheduling and billing software
  • Tech-savvy and system-oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive and problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexible and can work under pressure
  • Sense of humor and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of NYC neighborhoods and transportation logistics
