Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activity, upkeep and maintenance of the estate main house, grounds, gardens and any other structures on the property.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Responsible for making sure the Estate runs smoothly and effectively, working directly with the property owner and executive assistant.
  • Ensuring that the main house and all other structures are properly maintained, which may include HVAC, appliances, AV systems, plumbing, electrical, painting and any other improvements needed.
  • Overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the grounds, gardens and exterior systems such as the landscaping, seasonal flower pots, sport courts and more.
  • Making sure competitive quotes are received on any repairs/maintenance needed and are discussed with property owner if.
  • Making sure the house and grounds are appropriately maintained during the winter season which includes winterizing the house and all structures on the property and checking on any weather/storm damages which will include flooding, and snow removal.
  • Manage installation and removal of buoy systems, boats, swim platforms, docks and any other water accessories.
  • Making sure all structures are locked and secured. Checking home security for safety purposes.
  • Keep accurate records of ground maintenance and activities, including costs and materials used for accounting purposes.
  • Maintain calendar for estate including schedules for owner and family, event sand other service providers.
  • Manage other staff that may be hired to attend to the estate. This includes hiring, onboarding and supervising staff with the help of human resources.
  • Managing contractors, including but not limited to, establishing contractor agreements, making sure all contractors have the necessary skills, certifications and experience, and receive regular updates on their projects status and address any concerns.
  • Create and educate staff and contractors on procedures and protocols that are in the best interest of the estate.
  • First point of contact in case of property emergency and responsible for keeping owner informed of any related information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree in business management, or related experience required.
  • Experience in managing properties and related staff (3-5 years preferred).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Eye for detail
  • Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with other team members.
  • Must maintain confidentiality for handling sensitive information.
  • Possess adaptability skills for managing change and unpredictability. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
