Compensation: $42000-$52000
One Nature LLC seeks an Assistant Project Manager for Stewardship and Nursery to oversee its landscape stewardship program and provide limited support to its plant nursery. This position will primarily be responsible for the care and maintenance of landscapes enrolled in One Nature’s stewardship projects and secondarily have limited responsibilities in the plant nursery. The Stewardship Manager will work alongside and manage the work of seasonal crew members. This position is a salaried, year-round role and the successful candidate will be eligible for all benefits provided to One Nature’s salaried employees.
Responsibilities/Duties
While each property stewarded by One Nature is unique in the scope of its needs, the Assistant Project Manager will be required to:
- Lead crew members in the execution of varied stewardship tasks, including but not limited to weeding, mowing, mulching, pruning, planting;
- A limited number of days each week assigned to plant nursery tasks including retail and propagation;
- Instruct crew in proper, safe tool usage, including but not limited to weedwhackers, mowers, power trimmers, etc;
- Safely operate vehicles and machinery such as, but not limited to, vans, trucks, mini skid steers, mowers, and walk-behind tractors;
- Be responsible for material purchasing as needed for job sites;
- Coordinate with One Nature management regarding staffing, tool, and vehicle needs;
- Participate in managerial meetings and planning sessions;
- Communicate with clients regarding stewardship scheduling and needs;
- Be responsible for client outreach regarding One Nature's stewardship program;
- Actively monitor and participate in inter-company discussion via One Nature’s internal messaging systems;
- Conduct site observations and reportings concerning potential issues and threats to the health and wellbeing of stewardship properties;
- Ensure job site compliance with One Nature standards regarding safety and personal conduct;
- As needed, the Assistant Project Manager will additionally be called upon to assist with construction, consulting, and/or nursery tasks.
Qualifications/Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
