SYNOPSIS

Bill will talk about broadening the species palette, including plants that are good not just for people but for a wider holobiont; changing the way we plant them by giving them more space, and learning how urban trees tell us what care they need. The talk will look particularly at urban pruning needs and patterns, including formal pruning like hedging, pollarding and coppicing. Planting and tending go together. One without the other is a recipe for failure.

Note: This talk has been approved for Continuing Education Units (CEUs)* under the ISA Certification Program. Attendees who wish to receive CEUs will be required to a) sign an attendance log at the meeting and b) provide your accurate and valid ISA Certification Identification numbers.
