America in Bloom is a nationwide beautification program that encourages upgrading and expanding green space in urban and suburban areas. Since 2001 more than 150 locations have participated. Cities that join the program pull together their citizens to promote and enhance the flowers, trees, lawns, historic buildings and environmental efforts within their communities. Katy Moss Warner is a city judge and a board member of America in Bloom. She is the President Emeritus of the American Horticultural Society and was formerly the Director of Horticulture and Environmental Initiatives at Walt Disney World.
