Benjamin Vogt
Going Greener: From Lawn to Suburban Prairie Gardens

Join Benjamin on a journey through his practice transforming small suburban yards and larger urban spaces into meadow-esque landscapes. He will share some of his design methodology, how clients respond to a different design and management process compared to more traditional firms, and his strategies working with city ordinances.

Benjamin Vogt owns Monarch Gardens, a prairie-inspired design firm based in Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska. Through his business he also offers online courses, webinars, and a specialized design community for homeowners and allied pros. His gardens have been featured in several books as well The American Gardener, Fine Gardening, Garden Design, Houzz, and Midwest Living. He is the author of A New Garden Ethic: Cultivating Defiant Compassion for an Uncertain Future, and the forthcoming Prairie Up: An Introduction to Natural Garden Design.
