Acorn Garland Workshop for Kids!

Kids will use acorns as a base, to paint, decorate and turn into beads; and string into a festive fall garland! Our art-use acorns will be pre-baked (to avoid bringing home critters) and pre-drilled for ease of art-making and stringing. Class time will also include a scavenger style search for the abundance of acorns found naturally on our park grounds. We will discuss what's behind the fall drop of acorns while on a fresh air walk; the cycles and ecosystems of the trees that surround us. Class time includes a themed story time, a fresh-air scavenger hunt and take-home acorn art project to enjoy. All materials will be provided. This is a drop off class for ages 3-7.
