Uli Lorimer
Using Native Plants in the Urban Environment
Drawing on his successes and failures as Curator of BBG’s native flora garden, Uli Lorimer will focus on gardening with native plants in our urban environment. He will cover conservation, aesthetics, and wildlife issues, touching on what to grow and what to avoid. Uli Lorimer worked at the United States Botanical Garden and at Wave Hill before becoming the Curator of Native Flora at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. He teaches classes on soil management, native plants and weed identification.
